PNC Music Pavilion is a fantastic outdoor music venue in Charlotte, North Carolina. Formerly known as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and originally called Blockbuster Pavilion, it is famous around Charlotte and the state for it’s outstanding live music. The venue originally opened in July 4, 1991 and has a large capacity of 18,768 making it the perfect place for summertime concerts.

Found on Pavilion Boulevard located in the University City neighborhood, the amphitheatre is in a prime location for live concerts featuring artists and bands in many different music genres, as well as tours such as The Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest.

The venue also hosts many festivals with pasts ones including Carnival of Madness Tour, H.O.R.D.E. Festival, Lollapalooza, Ozzfest, Smokin’ Grooves Festival and Warped Tour.
Please note the following when attending PNC Music Pavilion:
The venue is located near I-85 and I-485 in the University City in Charlotte.
To reach the venue from the south take I-77 N to I-85 N, exit 48 (I-485 East), first exit for Highway 29, left at the light at the end of the exit ramp and the first right onto Pavilion Blvd where the venue is found on left.
To find the venue from the North take I-85 S to exit 48 (I-485 East), first exit for Highway 29, left at the light at the end of the exit ramp, first right onto Pavilion Blvd with the venue on the left.
There are parking lots available by the venue and these are included in your ticket price. You can also get Premier Parking for $25 and Limo/RV Parking for $50.
CATS buses also run close by to the venue.
The Box Office is located next to the front main gate entrance. Open Monday to Thursdays between 10am-5pm, and Friday between 10am-4pm, and Saturday only open for Onsales between 10am-12noon. Tickets to be purchased in person at the box office. Phone orders cannot be accepted unless for wheelchair/accessible seating. Box office cannot give seat locations over the phone.
The venue accepts Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover & AMEX for payment.
Will Call is located at the Box Office and tickets can be picked up after they have been verified by Ticketmaster. Bring picture ID, the credit card used the buy the tickets and order number.
The pavilion is an accessible venue and you can find out about accessible seating when buying your tickets.
The venue doesn’t allow coolers, laser pointers, weapons or animals (except for seeing eye dogs).
Food is allowed in a clear one gallon plastic bag. One sealed bottle of water is also allowed. Low lawn chairs e.g. beach chairs are allowed but the seat cannot be higher than 9 inches from the ground.
Personal cameras are allowed in the venue but flash photography, video and removable lens cameras are prohibited without the venue’s approval.
Children 2 years old and under will be admitted free to events but must sit in the Adult patrons lap and do not use an additional seat.
All shows are Rain or Shine. There are no refunds for bad weather. No umbrellas allow so bring a coat in case of bad weather.
No senior/military discounts are available. Some shows may have coupons or specials.
Lawn chair rental is available inside the gates for $5 but is limited availability.
There are two large video screens inside the venue.
ATMs are next to the box office and on both plazas.
Snacks, hot food, and hot/cold beverages are available. Beer/wine is sold with proper I.D.
There are many hotels near the venue located in the University City Area.
