It’s a big year for Darius Rucker. Not only did the country signer announce the title and release date for his new album, but he also announced plans for his upcoming “Southern Style” tour.
Rucker will be releasing his fourth country album Southern Style on March 31, 2015. He released the album’s first single “Homegrown Honey” back in September. The track reached 13 on the Country Airplay chart.
The “Southern Style” tour will kick off in Holmdel, NJ on May 14 and make 30 stops initially. Additional dates are expected to be announced.
Rucker will be joined by Brothers Osborne, Brett Eldredge and country newcomers A Thousand Horses. Some of the scheduled shows will be a part of the Live Nation Country Megaticket event.
Tickets for the tour went on sale January 26. Initial stops on the tour include Pittsburgh, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Dallas, Toronto, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Denver, Salt Lake City and more. The tour will wrap up in Virginia Beach.
A final setlist has yet to be announced, but fans can expect Darius to play tracks from his new album, including “Homegrown Honey”. He’s sure to perform other hits, like “Radio,” “Heartbreak Road,” “All I Want,” “This,” “Come Back Song” and “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”.
Brett Eldredge is sure to perform his hits “Can’t Behave,” “On and On,” “Beat of the Music,” “Don’t Ya,” and “Mean to Me”.
Fans can expect to hear Brothers Osborne play “Love the Lonely Out of You,” “Shoot From the Hip,” “and Let’s Go There”.
A Thousand Horses may be a newcomer to the country scene, but they’re sure to play “Hear Attack,” “Suicide Eyes,” “A Thousand Horses,” and “Travelin’ Man”.
Rucker is an American musician from Charleston, South Carolina. He was once the lead singer and guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish. In 2002, he released a solo R&B album, but never charted any singles from it. In 2008, Rucker signed with Capitol Records in Nashville and recorded his first country music album Learn to Live. The album’s first single “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” charted Number One on the Hot Country Songs chart. His next two singles “Alright” and “It Won’t Be Like This for Long” also peaked at Number One. The song “History in the Making” peaked at number three. Rucker’s third country album Southern Style will be released in March 2015.
