There’s no denying the fame of Dave Matthews Band. In 2014, the band announced that they would be playing their first ever show in Mexico in 2015. If this wasn’t enough to excite fans, the band announced on January 13, 2015 that they’ll be having a summer tour which starts on May 13th and ends on September 13th.
The tour will go from coast to coast starting in Austin, Texas and ending in Arizona.
One thing that will excite fans is that the band will be performing 2 sets each evening.
Fans will note that the band’s 2014 tour did exceptionally well. With high turn outs, the band wasn’t expected to go on tour again so soon. What’s changed? Dave Matthews wants to go off of their fan’s advice to amp up their acoustic set. Will this happen? We hope so.
Following their 2014 layout, the band will play one electric set follow by one acoustic set.
Fans that like to check the set list before going to the show will be in for a surprise. The group has announced that they will be using a unique set list each night. There will also be covers, which is a signature for the band.
DMB has given a few hints at to what songs will be covered. Fan favorites, such as Sugar Man and Slip Slidin’ Away are two that will definitely make the list.
The band further elaborated on how they will create a list for each city. First, Matthews stated that they will be looking at previous set lists for each city. The band will even go as far as changing set lists if there was a city within an hour that they recently played in.
For fans, this means that if you’re planning to travel an hour from your normal venue, you’ll be sure to hear a different list of songs.
Dave Matthews Band last released an album in 2012 called Away from the World. Songs from the band’s 9 albums will be included among the list. Selling over 30 million records worldwide, the band will have a lot of songs to choose from.
Looking at past set lists, some songs that may make the cut during the band’s 2015 tour are: Graces is Gone, Stay or Leave and Rhyme or Reason.
