‘All the Hits, All Night Long’ is the name of the mega tour featuring Lionel Richie and CeeLo Green. The tour first began in September of 2013 and went all across the country before heading to Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Now, the tour is back in North America and features CeeLo Green as the special guest, or opening act. Opening on May 29th, the tour is set to come to a close on August 2nd in Bethel, NY.
CeeLo Green is definitely an interesting choice for Richie, but this is a great thing for the crowd. Before the smooth voice of Lionel takes stage, fans will be able to hear “Crazy,” “Nasty Girl” and a slew of other songs from CeeLo Green. Guests can expect a theatrical performance from Green along with 12 – 13 songs and a variety of covers included.
‘All the Hits, All Night Long’ really lives up to its name when Lionel Richie takes center stage. Fans will be ecstatic once the first song is being sung as Richie has not skipped a beat over his 45+ year career, which began with the Commodores. This music legend has sold over 100 million albums during his career and ensures that fans will be hearing all the best songs over his wide range of albums.
Richie’s setlist will include 20 – 22 songs that fans both old and new will recognize. “Penny Lover,” “All Around the World,” and a fitting “All Night Long” will be heard. Songs from his time with the Commodores will be heard throughout the night with a usual 6 – 9 songs being that of Commodores.
Richie’s voice has been described as easy and smooth thus far through the tour and fans should expect this to remain during the entirety of the last leg. “We Are the World” is usually heard as an encore.
