Following the release of their new album No Fixed Address, Nickelback has announced a massive North American tour that will span 8 months. The tour commences on Valentine’s Day in Allentown, PA, and will make stops in 61 cities before coming to a close in Atlanta on August 29. The tour will stop in cities in both the U.S. and Canada.
In May, the band will take a break from their North American tour and play a few dates in Australia. During their stint, the band will play in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane before heading back to the United States on June 19.
After the North American leg of the tour, the band will embark on a world tour that will kick off on September 30th in Helsinki, Finland. The tour will make stops in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Great Britain and more.
The tour will promote the band’s latest album release, which is their first release on their new label after leaving long-time label Roadrunner Records. No Fixed Address ends the band’s three year hiatus, and fans are looking forward to this massive tour.
The announcement of this major tour came just before the band’s release of their latest album. Not much is known about the setlist yet, but fans can expect to hear the band’s old hits like “How You Remind Me,” “Hero,” and “Burn it to the Ground” as well as their new releases “Edge of a Revolution” and “What Are You Waiting For?”
The Pretty Reckless will open for the band on select dates. Thus far, there’s been no announcement of any additional opening acts, but fans can expect some sort of opener to be scheduled before the tour kicks off.
Pre-sale tickets for fan club members went on sale on November 10, and general public tickets went on sale November 16. Tickets for the tour can be purchased online or at your local box office.
Nickelback formed in 1995. To this day, the Canadian rock band is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups. They’ve sold more than 50 million records worldwide and rank as the 11th best-selling act.
