Rascal Flatts announced plans for their massive 2015 “Riot” tour. The trio will kick off the festivities in Cozumel, Mexico before crisscrossing the US and wrapping things up in Tampa, FL. Scotty McCreery and RaeLynn will join the tour as opening acts.
The tour was named after the group’s current single “Riot”. Before they head out on tour, Rascal Flatts will play a residency in Las Vegas from February 25 through March 14. Craig Wayne Boyd will open those shows, which are being called “Rascal Flatts Vegas Riot”.
The tour will make stops in some of the country’s biggest cities, including Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia, Columbus, Boston, Chicago and Cleveland to name a few. The group will play at more than 30 amphitheaters and outdoor festivals along the way. Exact dates for the tour have yet to be released, but a list of cities has been announced.
Select cities on the 2015 “Riot” tour will be a part of the Country Megaticket from Live Nation.
No set list has been announced, but fans are sure to hear “Life Is a Highway,” “What Hurts the Most,” “Riot,” “My Wish,” “Bless the Broken Road” and other classic Rascal Flatts hits.
Scotty McCreery will open for the group and RaeLynn will join in on Country Megaticket stops. Scotty McCreery is sure to play his hits “See You Tonight,” “Feelin It,” and “Clear as Day.” RaeLynn, contestant on season 2 of The Voice, will belt out “God Made Girls,” “Boyfriend,” “Buzzin’” and more.
No word yet on when tickets for the 2015 “Riot” tour will go on sale.
Rascal Flatts is an American country music group that formed in Columbus, Ohio. For ten years (2000-2010), the group recorded for Lyric Street Records. During that time, they released seven albums which have all been certified platinum. Over the years, Rascal Flatts has released 26 singles, all of which have reached the Top 20 or higher. Their single “Bless the Broken Road” spent the longest time (five weeks) at Number One.
McCreery is a country singer from Raleigh, North Carolina. McCreery was the winner of the 10th season of American Idol. He released his first album Clear as Day in October 2011 and it has since been certified platinum. The album spawned the hits “The Trouble with Girls” and “I Love You This Big”.
RaeLynn is an American singer who was a contestant on season two of The Voice. She released her first single “Boyfriend” in 2012, which peaked at 32 on the US Country charts. Her second single “God Made Girls” peaked at Number 7.
