Country music doesn’t get much better than Tim McGraw. The country legend recently announced that he will be going on a cross-country tour with this Shotgun Rider Tour this summer.
Opening acts, Billy Currington and Chase Bryant were also announced.
McGraw has announced 30 city stops so far with more expected in the future. Currently, the tour will be going everywhere from New York to California. The 47 year old singer is expected to play a number of songs from his 13 album releases.
The opening acts should provide the perfect atmosphere for fans.
Billy has been around since 2003 and has also released five albums. The Nashville native has had eight number 1 hits including Good Directions and We Are Tonight. The singer has also had a duet with Shania Twain.
Fans will be elated to know that Currington is set to release his sixth studio album this year.
It’s expected that the singer will include songs from his upcoming album to the set list. Don’t It is the first single to be released from the album so far.
The second opening act is a much younger Chase Bryant. Born in 1993, the singer just started his career in 2014. Young and energetic, it’s expected that he will bring a lot of excitement to the show.
Bryant is also touring with Brantley Gilbert this year, so fans will be able to get a taste of his music prior to the show.
The Tennessee native is signed to Red Bow Records and is best known for his song Take It On Back. The song peaked at #20 on the country charts and #86 on the top 100.
Tim McGraw picked an interesting opening act in Bryant but one that many enthusiasts think is the right choice.
McGraw will be expected to include a slew of songs from his latest album: Sundown Heaven Town. The album was released in September of 2014. Interestingly, the album’s single was replaced with Meanwhile Back at Mama’s which featured vocals from wife Faith Hill.
Will Hill be making a surprise performance? No one knows for sure, but Meanwhile Back at Mama’s would be a great song for any set list.
Sundown Heaven Town is the artist’s 13th album. Singles from the album that can be expected to make his set list on tour are Looking for That Girl and Shotgun Rider as well as his single with Hill.
